Hi,
Please try:
(a) Hold down Windows key then press Q
(b) Type HP in search box
(c) Click Continue - Your printer should be in the list
(d) Click it (if does not have a white tick), it will find the printer for you - bypass this if it has a white tick with ink levels next to it
(e) Click "Launch HP Scan ....." it may go to Apps store to download apps for you. There are many more apps you have to pay.
(Note: Clich can be touch for a touchscreen machine.).
Regards.
Updated: this is one more thing I hate Windows 8. With my Windows 7 machine, click Start > HP Scan and bingo. Back to late last year, I told people about this and they said Apps store has nothing to do with making money. (sic)
