I am a major IT green horn and my idea of solving an issue in the past was by calling the IT department. Now I office out of my home and I am my IT department. Anyways, I intalled my HP Officejet Pro 8600 plus and have been using it just fine. Until I tried to perform a scan. I am trying to get it to scan to e-mail and after about 4 hours am ready to give up. Except I need to scan yet tonight.......
I am stuck on the "Scan to E-mail Setup" page. I have looked at other ideas I have found but keep getting the "printer cannot connect the server. Correct server name and address" prompt. I use a company remote server and I looked up teh computer and domain name and all that. Even changed the port number like I read in some other forums. Any ideas?
