Deskjet F4280 reloaded Solutions Center, now won't scan

I reloaded the Solutions Center, it won't scan.  I tried the Print & Scan Doctor, but it says everything is OK.  When I try to scan, the "HP Scanning" screen pops up, hovers for a few seconds, then it's gone.  Nothing.
