Active x error when using scanner

For the past several months my scanner has been giving me an error message.  When I scan anything and try to view it in the previw, I get a message that says:

"ActiveX controls accept only Fonts that are defined in GraphicsUnit.Point.  Parameter name: font".

The scanner is a model 4890 and otherwise works well.  This error pops up no matter if I scan text, film.phots or whatever.

Anyone ever seen this or know how to get rid of it.  I did try reloading the software, but it didn't help.
