how to use scanner of HP6500A to attach document to an E-mail from AOL

I use Presario Notebook with Window 7 to send E-Mail with Scan document attached.

How to go about using HP 6500A Plus Multi Printer/Fax/Scan to do this?

I have never experienced Scan function with PC.
