My company has recently purchased two M425dn and while the printing feature is excellent the scanning capability is horriable (Both scan to network folder and scan to email) and is no where near 20ppm minute B&W like the specs claim. It's more like 1 page per minute.
Even after adjusting scanning DPI (not many choices to choose from), scanning is extremely slow and after analyzing the PDF file sizes they are basically triple the file size of other PDFs created by different model scanners on our network.
I've had to dig out some much older scanners just so we can scan documents in a timely manor.
The firmware is current: 20131216 (10 Jan 2014)
Does anyone have any ideas or should I just return both of these to HP?
