Hello Krentz,

 

Welcome to the HP Forums! I understand you are receiving color lines when scanning a document. Please make sure this printer is plugged into a direct wall, not a surge protector. HP recommends this step, as the color lines could disappear.

 

Please follow this HP document on Vertical Bands, Lines, or Streaks in Copies or Scans.
