I have discussed this situation with my co-workers, and the conclusion is you may get it to work if you uninstall all the software for both the Scanjet G4050 and the Photosmart C6150. Then install the Scanjet first and then the Photosmart. The catch is only one scanner will work. If you run the HP Print and Scan Doctor it will not recognize the Scanjet because of its aged software.
