Hi DOCLCSW,

Yes you are absolutely correct, setting the date and time is apart of the fax setup process. I found this to validate this statement.

Step four: Set the fax date and time

Follow these steps to set or change the date and time.

  1. On the printer control panel, touch the Right Arrow ( ), and then touch Setup ( ).

  2. Touch the Down Arrow ( ), and then touch Preferences .

  3. Touch Date and Time: , touch the Up and Down Arrows to set the month, day, and year, and then touch Done .

  4. Touch the Up and Down Arrows to set the time, touch Done , and then touch the Return Arrow ( ) to return to the Preferences menu.

I assumed you had already set the date and time so I never even thought of that. At my (undisclosed) age I should know not to assume. :)

I figured this would be like a Rubik cube, possible but tricky! You can use the HP faxback server to send a fax to and it will send one back to you in return, if you do this twice, you should find 2 in your folder. This would validate that this resolved the issue as the second fax would not override the first one, it would instead save separately.
