I will happily do my best to get this scanner to work but allow me to ask a few questions first:
1. What is the operating system of the computer you are trying to install this printer on (please be specific like Windows 7 64-bit, Windows 8 32-bit, or Mac OS 10.8, etc)?
2. Have you ever had a successful installation?
3. How is the printer connected to the computer (USB, wireless, or Ethernet)?
4. Can you print from your computer?
5. Is the only error message you are getting is that you need to reinstall the software or do you see anything such as "fatal error, scan error 22, or failure to communicate?"
6. Are you trying to install the Full Feature Software and Drivers from the software disk that came with the printer or from the website or did you choose a different driver? Basic drivers such as the Hostbased or XPS drivers may be where the problem lies if you are not using the Full Feature one which includes the scanning suite.
Answer those very important questions for me please so that I can determine where in the installation you are losing your functionality.
