That was almost TOO quick. But, on to plan B It seemed quick but remember I was given a HP link to follow for progress bar hang and I started that @ 4am. I just happen to have all your answers already written down.
I dug up a USB cable and installed it and it showed the obvious that the problem was in the communication with the router but I believe we all knew that to begin with. However, I did what you asked and it worked with the USB connection.
I am going to combine reply's here but VisionAiry (HP) said that the subnet mask was incorrect but I don't know where he would have got that info since the jpg showed all empty info because it was set on auto. So we all learned don't trust the computer and router to do the auto correctly.
Never the less I did a static IP thru the IPv4 in the embedded printer webpage and the software bundle came up working immediatly. The software is back to normal and I'm on the way out the door to the loony bin.
