Connexion scan problem

Error 44.A0.5A Cannot contact LDAP server - HP M4555
Repeatedly getting error event code 44.AO.5A Cannot contact LDAP server on a HP LaserJet M4555 MFP. Turining it off for 30 seconds and then turning it back on let's me log in once and then goes right back to the same error message. "Cannot connect to domain server"

Welcome to HP support community.
Clean the scanner glass and underside of the scanner lid with a soft, lint-free cloth sprayed with glass cleaner.
Turn the printer off, then disconnect the power cord.
Lift the scanner lid.
Spray a soft, lint-free cloth with glass cleaner, then wipe the scanner glass, glass strip (if present), the white backing under the scanner lid, and the white strip under the lid (if present) until clean, dry, and streak-free.
CAUTION:
To protect the interior printer parts, do not spray the cleaner directly on the glass or on the underside of the lid.

Reconnect the power cord, turn on the printer, then close the scanner lid completely.
Load the original document or photo, then try to scan. Make sure the original document or photo is in good condition and free of tears, creases, folds, staples, or tape.

Deleted scanning features
When we got this printer you could scan from the Printerscreen to a PC that has the HP printer software installed.
When you had double sided documents you wanted to scan you could do this from the ADF or the glass plate. You could define in the options that it was double sided and the printer would wait for you to reverse the page when it was done with one side and you would click ready on the printer to proceed. This made it possible to easily scan double sided documents. You could even choose if you wanted it in 1 pdf or multiple pdfs or photo's
Now some software updates have gone by and no matter if I use de ADF or glass plate it will scan to a image to the pc and that is it. no options what so ever. So you will end up with multiple separate pictures.
Then only way you can do it now is via the windows software. You put 1 side under the glassplate. Hit scan on the pc. wait for it to finish. Run back to the printer and turn the page and get back to the pc to scan the next page. This is extremely annoying because it was a feature what was present before but just got removed. I would like to have a answer why! (ADF doesn't work in the windows software because you cannot say it is 2 sided so it will treat it as 1 sided....)

thanks for your suggestion.
HP Easy Scan doesn’t work on MacOS 10.15
HP Smart shows the described problem with max. 300dpi.
So, this doesn’t solve the problem.
And yes, I agree, the scanner hardware has a specification with a higher resolution. I guess that‘s the reason, why I want to have this problem fixed 🙂

The HP printer will not make a copy of document placed on the printer pane.

Scanning issues and error messages
Scanner works fine. Then without warning is does not work and gives me this error message:
HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 is currently unavailable. Please check if it is turned on and connected, or try again later.
If I restart the computer, everything again works fine until the next time.
Have already reinstalled the software.
Suggestions?

Have that issue resolved, now It can't make the internet connection with my laptop.
Asks for a code and the numbers given won't work. Alternative is using a key and it doesn't recognize the ones i find either.

Have you tried to power on, wait for 1 min and then power on the printer?
Also, were you able to do any scanning?
If both scan and copy is not working, it might indicate that the scanner is defective.

Key in your printer model, Operating System and download & install the FULL feature software.
Once you have downloaded and installed the FULL feature software, you will be able to print and scan.

Solved the problem by cleaning the inside surface of scanning glass. It had a very fine layer of dirt, which was not visible to the eyes.
