I understand you've been having some issues with your Photosmart Plus printer printing blank pages. I will certainly do my best to help you with this.
It sounds like perhaps the software needs a refresher after the hardware was changed. What I'd recommend you try first is removing and re-adding the printer from your system. Click your Apple icon and then open System Preferences, under there please look for Print and Scan (or Print and Fax depending which version of Mac you are using) and open that. Once Print and Scan is open, along the left hand side you should see a list of all the printers you have installed. I want you to click on the Photosmart Plus to highlight it and then in the bottom left corner of the list of printers you should see a + and - symbol beside each other. I'd like you to press the - to remove the printer. Once it's removed please press the + to re-add the printer to the list. Once this is done, restart your Mac and try to print again.

Is your printer connected wirelessly to your Mac? Or with a USB cable?
Are you able to make a copy on the unit successfully?
What version of Mac is on your computer?
Is the printer plugged directly to a wall outlet?
