Hello, – Hope you are well Smiley Happy

Thanks for reaching out. This is a wonderful location to converse with the community, get assistance and find tips.

I see that you are having issues while scanning multiple pages using your Officejet 3535 printer. Did you try using the HP Scan software from the computer?

Try the steps below:

  • Place the pages face down on the printer scanner bed.
  • Now open the “HP Scan” on your computer. You can double-click on the printer icon on your desktop to get the HP Scan if it’s not a shortcut on your desktop.
  • If you scanned from the scanner glass, load the next page or photo on the glass, then click the plus button  or  in the HP Scan preview window to scan the next item. Repeat this step until all pages or photos are scanned, then click Save.
  • You can check this video for instructions: http://bcove.me/p1clcd0f

Alternatively, please check http://hp.care/2f9JtJe for detailed steps on HP scan.

Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance.

Cheers Smiley Happy

Re: HP Photosmart D110 makes a loud clicking noise when I start it up or just before I print

  • Does the printer print and copy fine otherwise?
  • Did any hardware changes take place on the printer (like cartridge replacement, paper jam, etc.)?
  • What operating system are you using and what is the version of the operating system?

Thank you for your response. Here are the answers to your questions.

The printer prints fine and makes copies.

I replaced the ink cartridge about a month ago and cleared a paper jam. After I made these changes, I did not have the clicking noise. The clicking noise started a little less than a week ago.

I am using Windows Pro 10.

Using  the fax wizard I have set-up a 2014 printer.  I have distinctive ring.  I can send faxes and recieve them, but I can only receive them if I am standing in front of the printer and hit "accept."  The distinctive ring is not engaging the printer to receive faxes if I am not present.

Any suugestions?

Thanks,

Dave

Now I see that the HP Solutions Center has a cropping tool that can be used manually on each scan. But since I'd crop each page separately, there's still room for error. Does anyone know software that can crop the images automatically and consistently?  Thanks

My printer was not listed for the firmware update on the HP website you gave me. I have my printer connected to the wall and I have tried all the steps suggested and I am still hearing the loud clicking noise prior to printing.

HP OfficeJet Pro 6970 All-in-One Printer Front USB Port

I just purchased this printer and am trying to understand what the front usb port is used for.  I am hoping that it can be used to store scans, but when I plug in a usb drive, it says that it isn't supported.  Is it not used that way, or do I need to purchase a certain one?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Let me take a moment to thank you for posting on the HP Support Forums.

I understand that you have an HP Photosmart 7520 e-All-in-One Printer. I read that when you try to make a copy or scan a document, an error appears saying  "Original Misfeed  --- Make sure your document is placed all the way into the automatic document feeder, then restart the copy job."  I read that this error appears while using the document feeder and also while using the scanner glass bed. Not worry, I'll do my best to help you.

I would like to know the following information to assist you better:

  • Did any hardware changes take place on the printer recently (like a carriage jam, was the printer moved, etc.)?

Meanwhile, I did some research and suggest you to perform the following steps to fix the issue:

  • Disconnect the power cable from the printer while the printer is still ON.
  • Disconnect any other cables if connected the printer.
  • Press and hold the printer’s power button for 15 seconds.
  • The printer should be directly connected to the wall outlet and not to a surge protector.
  • Reconnect the power cable to print and the printer should power ON by itself. If the printer doesn’t power ON then please manually power it ON.

Please try to make a copy using the document feeder or the glass bed and check the results. If the printer continues to display the error then I suggest you to reset the printer.

NOTE: Resetting the printer will take the printer to its original factory condition. If the printer is connected to the network then it will get disconnected and you will need to reconfigure it again.

I have sent you a private message with the steps to reset the printer.

I sincerely hope this fixes the issue. Let me know what happens. Good luck! Smiley Happy

Cannot save scanned images

I have no trouble scanning pictures into my computer, but once there I cannot save them. I get an error message that instructs me to check the properties of the file to make sure it's not read-only. I don't know how to to this despite lots of tinkering. HP troubleshooting has been useless and Apple support was unable to help me since it's an HP product. I cannot get anyone from HP on the phone to help me. This is my last resort. The device is not that old, I shouldn't be having problems with it, and if I do, you'd think I'd be able to get help with it!!! Can anyone help me?

I understand you have issues scan to computer from your PC.

Did you make any changes to your printer?

If your printer is connected to a network and you are scanning to a Windows computer, before you can scan from the control panel, you need to enable scanning from the software. From the computer desktop, click Start, select Programs or All Programs, select the folder for your HP printer, and then select the option for your HP printer. Double-click Scanner Actions, double-click Manage Scan to Computer and then click Enable.

Refer the printer user guide to know more information about the scan to computer.

According to this spec: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05061732

The product can only read memory devices that have been formatted using the FAT, FAT32, or EX-FAT file system.

HP has fully tested the following USB flash drives with the printer:
  1. SanDisk Cruzer Contour 16 GB
  2. Transcend 8 GB USB 3.0 SUPER SPEED
  3. Kingston DataTraveler II USB 3.0 32 GB
  4. Lexar JumpDrive 2.0 Pro (2 GB)
  5. Sony Micro Vault USM128EL 128 MB

   NOTE:

You might be able to use other USB flash drives with the printer. However, HP cannot guarantee that they work correctly with the printer because they have not been fully tested.

Perhaps there is inaccurate translation

"This occurs after the end of the call, and repeat dial."

correction text

After 10 calls will be completed is the end of the call, and repeated dial-up, some time later.

@juke55

Welcome to the HP Forums. I would be happy to help you with your HP DeskJet 3632 Printer. I understand that you are getting E5 error and you have already done some preliminary troubleshooting.

Don't worry though as I have a few steps to determine the issue and find a solution as well,

Perform a hard reset on the Printer.

  • Remove the power cable from the printer when it is turned on.
  • Press and hold the power button for more than 60secs.
  • Connect the printer directly to the wall outlet and the printer.
  • Turn on the printer.

If the issue persists, follow the below steps to fix the issue.

  • First, unplug the USB cable from the printer if present.
  • Go to Control panel – Programs and feature – Select all the HP Officejet & the Deskjet printer entries and uninstall them.
  • Now go to Control panel – Devices and printer – Select all the printer entries and remove the device.
  • Restart your computer.
  • Then press the "windows key" + "r" to get the "Run" window open - Type "printui.exe /s" and press enter.
  • Under print server properties, go to drivers - remove any entry there as well.
  • Again, go to Run window, type – “c:/programdata” – Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.
  • Once done you can try cleaning out your temporary files and cached files. You can try using automated applications like some cleaner software's that you can download from the internet.
  • Now restart your computer again.
  • Click on http://hp.care/2bNj6W7 to download and install the software.
  • In the connection type window, select wireless and follow the on-screen instruction to complete the installation.

These steps should fix both the issues.

Let me know if that works.

Cheers.
