Hello,
Please try the below steps that should resolve the issue.
- While the printer is ON, unplug the power cord and all the other cord/cables connected to the printer.
- Wait for 30 seconds.
- Plug in the power cord directly to wall outlet and then to the printer.
- If printer does not power on automatically then press the ON button to do so.
- Now try making COPY, it should work.
If issue still exists, then click HEREto access the steps that should be helpful.
Scanned image is not full size
Whenever I scan a document through either the flatbed or feeder, the image that appears on my computer is not a full page in size, but a much smaller version of the original document. Consequently, I have to manually resize everything I scan. This is always annoying, but now that I have a large number of documents to scan for a particular project, it is simply not possible to do this manipulation with every page. I have tried everything I could think of to no avail. Help, please.
Book copy
I guses my english is not very good becasue no one seems to be to answer a question or does not understand english
I want to copy a book. The kind people read with writting on both sides of the page and numbers on each page. My Hp 8600 will do two sides printing so it should work. My orgional is 7.5 by 12 inches for BOTH pages. The printed copy is in the horzioinal or landscape mode. I have tried scaning in the two page mode but I cannot get the pages to have the correct 'face' or page numbers. That is what should be on the left wide of the open book is on the right side. Or the back of the page is inverted. When the book is printed the pages are in the portrate mode, that is each page in 7.5 inches tall and 6 inches wide.
My questions are stupid. Do I start with the end of the book?
Do I flip the book when I do the back side?"
As the scanner does not fill the page I get a border at either the top pr orbottom of the page.

Welcome to the HP Community Forum.
The issue might be resolved by adjusting the "scan area" used during the scan.
For example, change Scan Size to "Entire Scan Area"

hp deskjet 3520 not scanning
I changed my home wireless connection. I can print now (after reading about on the forum), but I am unable to scan. I updated the IP address successfully, but it says it says "scanner unreachable". No idea if I am running "firewall software". Running Windows Vista. Please help.
No Instructions for Scanning, Faxing and Copying
I just installed my HP Deskjet 2542 printer and it's ready to go. There are no instructions provided on how to scan, fax or copy. I need to scan an item this evening (5/7/15). Can anyone help?

You need a manual, please use the 3rd manual from the following link:
Note: to save tress and the earth, many vendors do not supply printed manuals, they normally put onto the CD which came with the printer OR from the printer's homepage - as above).
I don't think it has Fax function.

Color Laser M177 SCANNER ERROR 22
I have the same problem as everybody shows up here (scanner error 22) is displayeds permanently. I already tried the fix proposal removing the power supply - No changes in behavior.
The device is 1/2 a year old and is used in a private installation, which means ~25 printed pages a week and ~20 pages scanned a month.
The firmware of the device is up to date. It is connected wired to the LAN. WLAN is disabled.
What are the HP further recommended steps?

HP Envy 5532 not copying
Hi
Please help, my printer all of a sudden has decided it wont copy. I have turned if off at the mains for over 1 minute and installed the update, but still nothing. It just reads copying with a spinning circle, it also does the same if you cancel the job or shut down.
Desperatly need to finish my work and proving difficult!!

Couldn't use \\share name in the 4.25 DSS on new server. It would only recognize the network drive letter. When I tried to browse using network, it wouldn't show my shared locations.
Installed latest version of DSS 5.0 and life is good!

I understand that when Copying from your HP Deskjet 2544 All-in-One Printer your black and white Copies come out blank and your colour Copies are coming out light. I would like to assist you today with resolving this issue. Because the black and white Copies are coming out blank there is a chance that the print system within your HP Deskjet is experiencing black ink issues. Can I please have you follow the steps below to print a Quality Diagnostics Report. This Report will help us to isolate the issue that you're experiencing and resolve this issue. Please follow the steps below.
How to Print a Quality Diagnostics Report:
- Load clean, white U.S. Letter or A4 paper in the input tray, if necessary.
- Touch and hold the Power button (
), and then press the Cancel button (
).
- Let go of the Cancel button and then the Power button. The test page prints.
- (1) Example of Estimated Ink Levels with more ink
- (2) Example of Estimated Ink Levels with less ink
- If this report prints with perfect quality: Than the issue that you're experiencing is not being caused by your printers ink system. Rather, there is either a hardware scanner light issue occuring. To verify if your Copy mechanism is functioning properly can I please have you perform a Copy of the Print Quality Diagnostics Report. Check the quality of the copied Diagnostics Report.
- If this report prints with missing colours or black: Than the issue that you're experiencing is likely being caused by the print system within your printer. To resolve this issue can I please have you click here. Once the support document opens please select Windows 7 as your Operating System. Next, run through the steps under Solution two, and Solution three. Once troubleshooting is complete please test Copying a black document again to verify if the issue has been resolved.
Please respond to this post with the result of your troubleshooting. Should the issue persist, be sure to let me know the quality result of printing the Quality Diagnostics Report. Good luck!

Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I understand that you're not able to scan from your HP ENVY 120 e-All-in-One Printer to your computer, and you are also not able to configure the wireless feature on your machine. I would like to assist you today with resolving these two issue. However, before I am able to accurately guide you to a solution I do need to know what Operating System that you're using on your computer.
Keep in mind that when you run the Wireless Setup Wizard on the front panel of your printer, the Network Name SSID has to be the same Network Name SSID that your computer is connected to. Also, the wireless password (key) that you enter on the printer is case sensitive. If the wireless still fails to connect there are some additional steps that I can have you perform once I find out what Operating System you're using on your computer.
Scanning can occur through a USB Cable connection as well. Because you are experiencing issues when configuring the wireless portion of the machine, I'm going to assume that your HP Envy is currently connected via the USB Cable from the printer to the computer. Should this be the case, what happens when you try to scan (error message, HP Scan will not open, etc)?
To ensure that the printers scanner mechanism is working I am going to have you perform a test Copy from your printer.
How to Copy:
1. Open the scanner lid and load a test document face down on the scanner glass
2. From the printer control panel, touch Copy. Choose Black Copy.
If your HP Envy prints out a Copy successfully than the scanner mechanism is functioning properly. Therefore, the scan issue that you're experiencing is not being caused by your printers hardware.
Please respond to this post with the result of running the Copy test. Also, be sure to include your Operating System and what exactly occurs when you perform a Scan via the USB Cable connection. I look forward to hearing from you!
Scanning Problem - can't do PDF
Have recently connected my all-in-one to a Pavilion 23 All-In-One and no longer am offered PDF (incl multi-page) as a scanning option - limited to BMP, JPG, PNG, TIF - tried to downloads new drivers but that process stalls out with a message that I may not have sufficient authority to proceed (?) - offers a Retry, but that repeats the same problem - can anyone advise as to how I can get back to the "good old days" when I could easily scan a multi-page PDF?
