I scan a lot of documents to one file but I have to always go back to home or resultalt to be able to scan a new document.Why can't I just go on again instead going back and forth. Any ideas ?

Re: HP 7640 all screwed up after tech support tried to help me
Ok, I tried doing your suggestion & now I'm getting an "unsuccessful network installation" error. I'm trying to do a wireless setup & nothing has changed from when it was set up before. My internet works fine so it isn't my router or connection that's keeping it from going along. This is getting more frustrating by the minute. SInce it's 4th of July I might just get some fireworks & set it in the middle for a big explosion unless I can figure it out. Just kidding about the explosion but I just want to go back to what it did before I tried aligning the printer!

I need to scan 2 pages but where I have to upload it will only take 1 page. Is there a way to make the 2 pages into 1 page?

You're welcome. 
I appreciate the steps you have performed and have certainly done a good job.
The successful color copy indicates that the scanning hardware is perfectly fine. I suggest you to scan using the HP Easy Scan app and check how the output is from the printer.
If the issue persists then I suggest you to reset the printing system in Mac and then try to scan. Resetting the printing system in Mac fixes any issues with the print and scan drivers.

No, you can't make 2 pages to 1 page unless 2 pagrs can fit to the glass area. But you can scan 2 or more pages to 1 file. Please try
Double click printer icon on desktop,
Select Scan a Document or Photo,
Put the first page on the glass (face down),
Check options (size, dpi ...), and select Scan document to file, - note: dpi must be 300 or less.
Click Scan - machine will scan the first page
Remove the first page on the glass, put the second page,
Click + (plus sign) It sits on the left hand side of a red x
Machine will scan the second page, put 3rd page on the glass and click + again ..... to the end then click Save
Click Done after Save
Or try HP Scan Extended using the following software

Once it's downloaded and installed, for Windows 10:
(a) Hit Win key,
(b) Scroll down to HP group/folder,
(c) Double click "HP Scan Extended"

Have you installed printer software and drivers (from the CD) to your computer yet ? You have to do that first. After that, please try
(a) Double click printer icon on desktop,
(b) Select Scan a Document or Photo,
(c) Select available options then click Scan.

I understand that you have an HP ENVY 4500 e-All-in-One Printer. I read that post a Windows update, the printer icon is missing from the desktop screen. Using this icon, you had access to the scan and print options. Not to worry, I'll do my best to help you.
To provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
- Did you upgrade from a lower version of Windows to Windows 10? Or was it just a small update on the existing Win10 operating system?
- Is the printer responding to the print commands from the PC?
- Is the printer connected via USB or wirelessly?
I recommend you to uninstall the printer drivers and then reinstall the printer drivers. Please refer to the steps from this link to know how to uninstall the printer drivers.
You may download and install the printer drivers from this link.

Wont Print or copy offline
My printer will not print or copy. I am using Windows XP and called HP tech support and was told that they do not support Windows XP anymore. I needed to upgrade and then call back to get help. Is there a way to continue to print, copy, scan, etc. without doing a costly upgrade of my OS?

On hp7520 I get Original Misfeed message even when no paper in ADF
When I try to copy or scan a document I get a message : "Original Misfeed --- Make sure your document is placed all the way into the automatic document feeder, then restart the copy job." Even if I place a document on the plate to copy without using the automatic document feeder, I get that message, and I cannot copy or scan. We have checked to make sure there is no paper jam, and there is none.

the copy option on my 4620 all-in-one will not work even though i just put new ink cartridges in
No warnings or errors of what is wrong. I can't copy anything on the copy feature even after installing new ink cartridges. I'll put face down what I need to copy and it just comes back as a blank sheet of paper.
